Atlas University .. A Modern Vision for Health and Technology Education in Istanbul

Atlas University (Atlas Üniversitesi) is one of the newest private universities in Istanbul, starting its academic journey by decision of the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK) in 2018 and welcoming its first cohort in the 2020-2021 academic year. Despite its short history, the university has carved out a clear academic identity centered on excellence in health and engineering fields, supported by modern infrastructure and strategic partnerships with leading hospitals and institutions.

Atlas University is located in the Kağıthane district on the European side of Istanbul, an area undergoing rapid urban and economic development, and enjoys a central location easily accessible from all parts of the city via metro and bus lines. The campus was designed as a model for smart university cities, with its green spaces, advanced laboratories, and classrooms equipped with the latest technologies.

The university hosts several specialized faculties that meet labor market demands, most notably: the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Atlas is particularly known for its integrated health programs that leverage the nearby Atlas University Hospital, providing students with intensive clinical training from the early years. It also offers engineering programs in computer science, software engineering, and biomedical engineering, as well as programs in management and psychology.

The medium of instruction is primarily Turkish, with some programs offered in English. Admission does not require the YÖS exam; it accepts a high school diploma and language proficiency for English programs. Annual tuition fees for international students range from $3,500 to $16,000 depending on the program, and the university offers academic scholarships from 25% to 75% based on academic record. The degree is accredited by YÖK and recognized in the Arab world through official equivalency procedures.
