Ege University — Izmir

Ege University is one of Turkey's most established public universities, founded in 1956 in Izmir on the Aegean coast. Today it operates 14 faculties, 7 schools, 9 institutes, and 9 graduate schools — among Turkey's largest and most comprehensive public universities.

Admission: Ege University accepts only its own YÖS exam for international applicants. Apply at ais.ege.edu.tr.

Tuition (international students): Approximately $400–1,200 per year for most undergraduate programs; medicine and dentistry are at the higher end.

Scholarships: Eligible for Türkiye Bursları full government scholarship.

Accommodation: KYK state dormitories and private student housing widely available in Izmir. Living costs in Izmir are noticeably lower than Istanbul — typical monthly expenses $350–600.
