Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli Üniversitesi) is one of the most prominent public universities in the city of Nevşehir in central Anatolia, just north of Cappadocia — one of Turkey's most spectacular tourist regions, famous for its fairy chimneys, cave dwellings, and hot-air balloon rides. Founded in 2007, the university is named after Hacı Bektaş Veli, the 13th-century Sufi mystic and founder of the Bektashi Sufi order, whose tomb is located in Nevşehir province.
Strong Arab international community: The university is known for accepting large numbers of international students — particularly Arabs, who have built a substantial community on campus over recent years.
Language of instruction: Turkish is the official language of instruction across all programs, with an evening-education option. International students typically complete TÖMER Turkish preparation before joining their main degree. The university accepts all international diplomas as well as YÖS and SAT.
Extensive international cooperation: The university has signed agreements with approximately 60 universities worldwide, including institutions in South Korea, China, Brazil, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Tajikistan — supporting active student-exchange opportunities.
Structure: The campus hosts 9 faculties and 8 research and applied-research centres.

Living in Nevşehir: Nevşehir is a mid-sized city in central Anatolia, the gateway to Cappadocia — students live within easy reach of one of Turkey's most spectacular natural and historical regions (Göreme, Ürgüp, Uçhisar). The climate is continental, with cold winters and warm summers; cost of living is well below Istanbul — student rent typically $150–300/month. Air connections from nearby Kayseri and Nevşehir airports link the city to Istanbul, Ankara, and Antalya.
Recognition: Diplomas are accredited by Turkey's YÖK (Higher Education Council) and recognised across the Arab world. Particularly attractive for Arab students seeking an established Turkish public university with active international cooperation, near one of Turkey's most beautiful regions.
