Ordu University (Ordu Üniversitesi) is a public university in the city of Ordu, the first public university in the central Black Sea region. Founded on 17 March 2006, the university has grown rapidly thanks to a strong academic faculty.

Ranking: Despite its young age, Ordu holds approximately the 76th rank among Turkish public universities — a respectable mid-tier placement.

Language of instruction: Turkish is the primary language across all programs. International students typically complete TÖMER Turkish preparation before joining their main degree.

Living in Ordu: Ordu is a mid-sized coastal city on Turkey's central Black Sea coast, famous for hazelnut production (the region produces a significant share of the world's hazelnuts). The climate is mild and humid, the surrounding mountains and coast offer dramatic natural settings, and cost of living is well below Istanbul — student rent typically $150–300/month. Ordu-Giresun Airport provides domestic flight connections to Istanbul and Ankara.
