Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) — known in Turkish as Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi — is a major public university in Bursa, Turkey's fourth-largest city and a key industrial centre south of the Sea of Marmara. Founded in 1975, the institution was originally Bursa University, renamed Uludağ University by law in 1982, and most recently renamed in 2018 to its current form. The name Uludağ comes from Mount Uludağ, Turkey's most famous winter ski destination, which towers above Bursa.
